A Touch Flatter, TY Block Helps Support In Asia

US TSYS

TYZ3 operates a little shy of Asia-Pac highs after a look above Wednesday’s best levels.

  • The contract last shows +0-03, sticking to a 0-06 range thus far.
  • Yesterday’s bullish hammer candle presents a short-term bullish threat to the technical downtrend in the contract, bulls look to overcome the 20-day EMA initially.
  • Cash Tsys run 0.5-2.5bp richer, with a light flattening bias seen.
  • A block buyer in TY futures (+2,319/~$152K DV01) headlined on the flow side in Asia.
  • Macro news was centred on matters in China once again, although that didn’t really move the needle for Tsys.
  • Cross-market, an uptick in e-minis and a light downtick in mainland Chinese equities has been seen, while oil has nudged higher, but remains shy of yesterday’s highs.
