EMISSIONS: Aker Solutions, SLB Capturi Awarded Contract at Oslo CCS Project

Aker Solutions and SLB Capturi have been awarded a contract for the Hafslund Celsio CCS waste-to-energy plant in Oslo that is scheduled to be completed by 2029, it said. 

  • The project is scheduled to start in Q1 2025.
  • The plant is expected to capture 350k tons of CO2 per year once operational.
  • The contract includes the delivery of a carbon capture plant, a liquefaction system, temporary storage, and loading facility at the waste incineration site and an intermediate CO2 storage and ship loading system at Oslo harbour.
