CHINA: ANZ note that "the broad moderation seen in both the (Chinese)
manufacturing and non-manufacturing PMIs in July were caused more by a
backtracking in China's domestic activities rather than the trade tensions with
the US. If the PMI continues to slow, it is unlikely that sequential GDP growth
in the second half of the year will match the 1.8% q/q seen in Q2. Recent
economic policy adjustments are partly meant to address the downside risks in
the economy and may boost sentiment over the medium term."
