CHINA: Around 50 U.S. officials and trade representatives will discuss with
their Chinese counterparts on trade and economic issues this week, China
Ministry of Commerce said Thursday. China's door for trade negotiations is still
open, but the country reserves the right to take "related action" against the
U.S.' threats of tariffs and restrictions on Chinese investment, Gao Feng,
spokesman of the ministry said at a regular press briefing. China does not want
to see the trade conflict between the two countries escalate, Gao said; China
and the U.S. should implement the consensuses that they previously reached and
work towards a win-win situation.
