STOCKS: Asia-Pacific stock metrics moved higher on Monday, shrugging off the
uncertainty created by the weekend's G7 summit & Trump upping the ante re: trade
war rhetoric. The space was supported by the generally positive tone surrounding
the upcoming US-North Korea summit.
- The Nikkei 225 added 0.3%, as the telecoms and consumer discretionary sectors
led the way higher, while the materials sector added the most weight.
- The Hang Seng added 0.4% with the consumer discretionary & IT sectors leading
the way higher, although consumer staples added some weight. China's CSI 300
added 0.2%.
- The ASX200 was closed for a public holiday.
- US index futures were mixed after moving away from the opening lows.
