It was a mixed end to the year for Asian equity flows, with India seeing a 1.15b outflow in the 5-day leading into year-end, Taiwan saw a decent sized outflow on Dec 31st, and saw by far the largest outflows for 2024 with a net outflow of $18.2B for the year.

  • South Korea: Recorded inflows of +$81m Tuesday with a 5-day total of +$17m. YTD flows remain positive at +$2.43b. The 5-day average is +$3m, better than the 20-day average of -$76m and the 100-day average of -$163m.
  • Taiwan: Saw outflows of -$522m Tuesday, contributing to a 5-day total of -$155m. YTD flows are deeply negative at -$18.2b. The 5-day average is -$31m, better than the 20-day average of -$44m and the 100-day average of -$80m.
  • India: Registered outflows of -$625m Tuesday, with a 5-day total of -$1.17b. YTD flows are slightly negative at -$755m. The 5-day average is -$233m, worse than the 20-day average of +$44m and the 100-day average of -$47m.
  • Indonesia: Posted inflows of +$35m Monday, with a 5-day total of +$17m. YTD flows are positive at +$1.15b. The 5-day average is +$3m, better than the 20-day average of -$22m and the 100-day average of +$11m.
  • Thailand: Recorded outflows of -$11m Monday, contributing to a 5-day total of -$36m. YTD flows are negative at -$4.13b. The 5-day average is -$7m, better than the 20-day average of -$17m but worse than the 100-day average of -$8m.
  • Malaysia: Saw inflows of +$11m Tuesday, with a 5-day total of -$14m. YTD flows are negative at -$953m. The 5-day average is -$3m, better than the 20-day average of -$30m but worse than the 100-day average of -$9m.
  • Philippines: Registered outflows of -$2m Friday contributing to a 5-day total of -$26m. YTD flows remain negative at -$408m. The 5-day average is -$5m, better than the 20-day average of -$7m and the 100-day average of +$1m.
