Asian equity markets opened lower..........>

EQUITIES
EQUITIES: Asian equity markets opened lower following yesterday's FOMC meeting
and the Powell press conference.
- Most Asian indices continued to fall through the day as risk appetite remained
subdued as an increase in Covid-19 cases in a number of US states have led to
concerns there could be a wider resurgence of cases across the US and
potentially a second peak. Most indices are close to their lows of the day at
the time of writing.
- The S&P/ASX 200 has led the way lower, more than 3% lower on the day while the
Nikkei 225 is 2.8% lower on the day. The Hang Seng is holding up a bit better,
only 1.7% lower on the day.
- European and US equity futures are also lower on the day with Eurostoxx and
DAX futures down around 2.2% at writing and FTSE100 futures down about 2.0%. S&P
emini futures are down 1.4% on the day.
