CHINA: Assets and liabilities of Chinese banking institutions grew at a slower
pace in November, the China Banking Regulatory Commission said Monday, according
to a statement on its website. Total assets increased 10.0% year-on-year to
CNY244.44 trillion, while liabilities also rose 10.0% to CNY225.37 trillion.
Both totals were unchanged from October and represented the lowest year-on-year
monthly growth rates this year, the CBRC noted.
