AUSSIE: AUD crosses ticked lower in reaction to the latest NAB business
confidence survey. Business confidence index fell to 2 from 7, while business
conditions index rose to 3 from 1, but still "remain well below average after
trending lower for over a year now," as NAB wrote in their commentary. NAB also
highlighted that forward-looking indicators "continue to suggest that business
conditions are unlikely to improve significantly in coming months." Worth
noting, however, that the labour market sub-metric improved to 4.6 from 1.9.
- AUD/USD last seen at $0.6960, 12 pips worse off. A familiar technical picture
remains intact.
- AUD/NZD has shed 17 pips and sits at its 100-DMA at NZ$1.0511. Together with
the 21-DMA at NZ$1.0510, the level limits losses at typing. Below would open up
the psychological NZ$1.0500 mark.
