AUSSIE-KIWI: AUD/NZD last trades flat at NZ$1.0540, with participants awaiting
Australian labour market report, due at 02:30BST/11:30AEST.
- The pair fell 37 pips yesterday, almost entirely wiping out gains registered
on the previous day, as the Aussie failed to recover alongside the kiwi, amidst
broader risk-off flows.
- RBA Asst Gov Ellis said that Australia's NAIRU is about 4.5%, down from 5.0%
noted a year or so ago.
- A break above the 21-DMA at NZ$1.0568 would open up NZ$1.0581-83, which has
kept a lid on gains for the last two days. On the downside, a fall through the
100-DMA, which kicks in at NZ$1.0506, would return focus to the NZ$1.0501-1.0499
area, which hosts Jun 7, Jun 5 & Jun 10 lows respectively.
