AUSSIE: AUD/USD shook off tentative weakness seen in Tuesday's Asia-Pac session
and rallied into the European morning as the greenback turned its tail. The rate
held gains, extending its winning streak to five straight days.
- The rate is virtually unch. at $0.6491 at typing. Bulls target Mar 11 high of
$0.6539 and a break above that level would open up the 100-DMA at $0.6570. Bears
look for a retreat under Apr 24 low of $0.6337, towards Apr 21 low of $0.6254.
- Australian Treasurer Frydenberg stressed the importance of Sino-Australian
relations, but warned that Canberra will not bow to economic coercion and
defended Australia's push for an independent inquiry into the origins of
Covid-19 pandemic.
- Australia reports its CPI data later today. Terms of trade, private sector
credit and AiG M'fing PMI will be published on Thursday.
