AUSSIE: AUD was supported by firmer base metal prices on Tuesday, as well as
USD/CNY & USD/CNH edging away from the cycle highs.
- AUD/USD printed $0.7434 before edging back, last dealing at $0.7425. Initial
resistance is noted at the July 16 high ($0.7442), followed by hourly support
from June 10 ($0.7459). Downside interest comes in at the 50.% retracement of
the move from $0.7360 to $0.7434 ($0.7397), followed by yesterday's low
($0.7360).
- AU CPI provides the headline risk event today, but traders should also look to
the domestic skilled vacancies print.
