*Aussie opened in Asia toward the lower side of yesterday's $0.7899 to $0.7949
range, where consolidation was the theme
*After a very quiet start, the Aussie pushed higher from around $0.7910 to
$0.7922
*A rise in NAB's Business confidence from 8 to 12 then saw the move extend
further to $0.7939 before stalling
*Disappointing China data and softer commodities then saw the Aussie given some
ground back. China exports and imports both missed expectations, while in the
commodity world  Dalian ore was down 1.3% and Shanghai steel down 1.35%.  Aussie
edged lower from around $0.7930 to $0.7913 and was last at $0.7917
*It is worth noting a large option expiry today (A$2.5bn) that could prove to be
magnetic for today's New York cut.
