AUSSIE BONDS: Aussie bond futures tracked Tsys, with 3- & 10-Year yields
registering fresh record lows ahead of tomorrow's RBA MonPol decision, although
the space pulled back from best levels on the back of the SCMP piece.
- YM last +4.0 ticks, with XM +5.5 ticks. YM/XM trades at 52.0, with the cash
equivalent at 48.8bp.
- Bills trade 1 to 3 ticks higher through the reds. RBA repo ops saw A$1.2bn of
14-day ops allotted at an average of 1.568%, with A$1.495bn worth of 94-day ops
dealt at an average of 1.554%.
- Tomorrow is a big day for the space, with retail sales and trade data due, but
more importantly, the RBA will conduct its latest MonPol decision. OIS currently
price in a ~46% chance of a cut in the cash rate, with 14 of the 26 surveyed by
BBG looking for a such a move. IBK9 sits 1.5 ticks higher on the day, 0.5 back
from highs, on robust volume of ~35K.
