AUSSIE BONDS
AUSSIE BONDS: Aussie bonds are slightly lower in earlier trade, pulling back in
tandem with US tsys after a slight retreat from the rally seen late last week as
US/North Korea tensions ratcheted up. Aussie bonds rose on Friday, the curve
seeing some bull flattening with the North Korea move higher being accelerated
after RBA's Lowe maintained the dovish tone of the RBA.
- A fairly busy session for Aussie bonds coming up, first up is a speech from
RBA' Kent at 0035BT/0935AEST, the RBA Assistant Governor will speak at the
Moody's Australia Conference.
- The AOFM will auction A$500mln of 2.25% 2028 bonds at 0200BST/1100AEST.
- Next up is Australia Credit Card Purchases/Balances at 0230BST/1130AEST,
followed by a raft of Chinese data in the form of Retail Sales, Fixed Asset
Investment and Industrial Production.
