MNI BRIEF: Mexico Inflation Down To 4.55% In November
MNI (BRASILIA) - Mexico's INPC annual inflation was 4.55% in November, the Mexican National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI) said on Monday, announcing a figure in line with the 4.59% consensus forecast and down from 4.76% in October.
Core inflation was 3.58%, also in line with the 3.60% consensus and down from 3.80% in October, continuing its downward trajectory.
"Within the non-core index, on a monthly basis, agricultural product prices increased by 0.62%, while energy prices and government-authorized tariffs rose by 2.64%. This was mainly due to the end of the summer electricity rate subsidy program in 11 cities across the country covered by the INPC," INEGI said.
