AUSSIE SUMMARY: Aussie-dollar: Europe open $0.7782, range $0.7775-0.7795, NY

*The pair slipped towards $0.7780 in early NY, although there was very little
flow or volume going through.
*A spike in XAU and copper witnessed the rate follow suit, the rate
grinded towards the resistance at $0.7800.
*Following a drop in XAU and oil the rate drifted back towards $0.7785.
*The greenback received a lift across the bored, as US Tsys yields pared back
some of its losses and XAU drops to flat on the day. The rate went onto to test
the intraday low of $0.7775. Before meeting demand from ECNS and bouncing back
over $0.7780.
*Continued pressure on the Aussie, as XAU fell further saw the rate
drift to an intraday low of $0.7771.
*The release of the FOMC minutes saw some pressure on the greenback, although
the reaction was somewhat muted with the rate grinding towards $0.7790.
