*Rate started to drift, persistent eur-aud demand (touched A$1.4719) weighed,
aud-usd pared morning gains to $0.7956
*Demand remains on approach to $0.7950, a break opens $0.7926 (50%
$0.7786-0.8066). Focus on US GDP (1230GMT) for direction.
