AUSSIE-YEN: AUD/JPY has oscillated around neutral levels and last deals at
Y76.10.
- U.S. President Trump's remark that he feels trade talks with China will be
successful put a bid into the pair yesterday, allowing it to eke out almost 60
pips worth of gains in the Asia-Pac session.
- The European hours saw the rate give away some of its earlier gains, but
subsequent recovery helped AUD/JPY close 21 pips higher on the day.
- Despite closing in the green yesterday, the rate failed to violate its recent
downtrend resistance, which today comes in at Y76.60. Before challenging the
figure, however, bulls need to clear the lower 1.0% 10-DMA envelope at Y76.19.
Meanwhile, a fall below Y75.74/79, which hosts Monday's and Tuesday's intraday
lows, would allow bears to keep the upper hand.
