Australian Oct CPI monthly was mixed. The headline CPI rose 2.1%y/y, against a 2.3% forecast. However, the trimmed mean was 3.5%y/y, against a prior 3.2% outcome (there was no consensus for this print). More details to follow. 

  • AUD/USD softened to 0.6464 on the release, likely due to the weaker headline result, but is now back to 0.6470/75, little changed.
  • In the bond space, futures are 1-1.5bps weaker. OIS is little changed.
