Australia Q3 Rise on New Dwelling; +1.8%

  • Australia Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose 1.8% this quarter, the same as the pace in Q2.
  • Over the twelve months to the September 2022 quarter, the CPI rose 7.3%, faster than the 6.1% growth registered in Q2.
  • The most significant price rises were New dwelling purchases by owner-occupiers (+3.7%), Gas and other household fuels (+10.9%) and Furniture (+6.6%).
