Bangladesh LNG Sendout Slumps to Multi-Year Low

LNG

Gas supply in Bangladesh has been landed a double blow after damage to the Anowara-Fouzdarhat RLNG pipeline according to ICIS.

  • This is after one of the country's two FSRUs were set out of action in late May following cyclone damage. From record sendout of above 1,000m cubic feet per day in May, it fell to just 243m cubic feet on Thursday.
  • Reports suggest repairs may take only 24 hours but subsequent testing and commissioning could take several days.
  • The Summit FSRU has also returned from repairs in Singapore and should be hooked up in a few days. It arrived in July 11 according to Kpler reports.
  • A number of LNG cargoes for delivery in June and July have been deferred as a result of the disruption.
