LNG: Bangladesh wards Two Jan Spot LNG Cargoes to Total: Platts

Bangladesh has awarded two spot LNG cargo tenders to Total for delivery on January 5-6 and January 9-10 at $13.87/MMBtu and $14.25/MMBtu, respectively, Platts said.

  • The LNG cargoes will be delivered to Moheshkhali Island, with discharge options at the island's two FSRUs.
  • RPGCL, also issued two new tenders for spot LNG cargoes for delivery on Jan. 16-17 and Jan. 30-31. Each cargo will be about 3.36m MMBtu. The bid submission deadline was December 22.
  • Bangladesh also awarded a spot LNG tender to Vitol for Jan. 4-5 delivery at $15.02/MMBtu.
  • Besides spot purchases, Bangladesh imports LNG on long-term deals from suppliers Qatargas and OQ Trading.
