Banks Resumed Issuing Foreign Currency To Citizens: Vedomosti

RUSSIA

Russian banks have resumed issuing foreign currency to citizens from Monday, business daily Vedomosti reports, adding that one "can only sell the currency that arrived at the cash desks after April 9."

  • "All banks maintain the temporary restriction of the Central Bank: you can withdraw from your account no more than $10,000 or the equivalent of this amount in euros. At the same time, you can withdraw only the currency that was credited to the account before March 9. If since then the client has already withdrawn the amount from the account within this limit, it will not be possible to withdraw money again. "
