Belgium Extends Unplanned Nuclear Outage

Belgium’s 1.03GW Tihange 3 nuclear power plant has extended its unplanned outage that occurred on Monday morning, with the unit now expected to return on Tuesday afternoon, latest Remit data show.

  • The unit was shut down at 11:45 CET on 3 June and was originally anticipated to come back online on 4 June at 11:14 CET.
  • The plant is now expected to fully return on 16:28 CET on 4 June and is running at about 115-235MW of capacity.
