UK: Betting markets continue to place shadow Brexit Secretary Sir Keir Starmer
as the favourite to take over the leadership of the main opposition left-wing
Labour Party once Jeremy Corbyn steps down. 
- Starmer given 36% probability according to Betdata.io, which compiles odds
from Betfair. Up from low of 9% on 16 Dec.
- Shadow Business Secretary Rebecca Long-Bailey second on 25%. She has not yet
officially announced she is running, but article she penned in Guardian on 30
Dec seen as a strong hint of her intent. 
- Lisa Nandy, seen as the most pro-Brexit candidate for the leadership third on
12%, while moderate centre-left Yvette Cooper fourth on 8%. Ian Lavery 4%, Clive
Lewis 4%, Jess Phillips 3%.
- Significant impact on future of Labour Party policy. Long-Bailey or Lavery
seen as the 'continuity Corbyn' leftist candidates, while Nandy, Starmer, Cooper
seen as somewhat more centrist. 
- Still no official timeline for the leadership campaign. Likely to begin in
earnest in the new year.
