- Biden: 'Ukraine has 20 million tonnes of grain in silos. If they can't get to markets an awful lot of people in Africa are going to starve to death.'
- Biden: 'We are doing something about it. Expanding production and feeding the world.'
- Biden says the administration will expand insurance policies to farmers to allow double cropping.
- Secretary of Agriculture Thomas Vilsack will be dispatched to Europe this evening for talks on food supply.
- Biden: '[Vilsack] is heading to Germany to the G7. That is all the democracies in Europe getting together and their agricultural teams getting together ...to solve some really big problems.'
