Biden Hits Out At GOP In Jobs Report Statement
The White House has issued a press release from President Joe Biden following today's NFP numbers. With the midterm elections taking place on 8 Nov, the statement leans heavily into partisan messages against the Republicans.
- The late pivot by Biden and Democratic candidates across the House and Senate towards statements on combating inflation may prove to be too late to turn the tide, with the GOP taking control of both chambers of Congress seen as the most likely post-election outcome by betting markets (70.4% implied probability according to data from Smarkets).
