US President Joe Biden has seen his approval rating drop significantly in the second half of March as the fallout from the collapse of Silicon Valley Bank weighs on the President.

  • According to RealClearPolitics, Biden's approval has sunk to 42.6% from 44.4% on March 14.
  • Newsweek reports that, "The collapse of Silicon Valley Bank this month has caused as much concern among U.S. voters as it did among investors."
  • A recent Newsweek poll found that 77 percent of Americans, "fear for the security of their own money in the light of the California lender's meltdown."
  • The poll further revealed that, "A majority of 70 percent of the 1,500 respondents to the poll think that it's the government's responsibility to prevent bank failures that potentially threaten the stability of the entire financial sector."
