President Joe Biden is set to hold two sets of meetings with Congressional Democrats this afternoon in an effort to broker an agreement on the White House's 'Build Back Better' social and infrastructure spending programme. Biden meets with a group of progressive leftist Representatives at 1400ET (1900BST, 2000CET), before talks with moderate centrist Representatives and Senators at 1630ET (2130BST, 2230CET).

White House confirmed earlier that both VP Kamala Harris and Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen will be in attendance.
With both House and Senate back in session, Democratic Congressional leaders are seeking to get deals done on 'Build Back Better' and bipartisan infrastructure bill by the end of the month.
