Big Bounce In Europe

Global stocks are higher, with Europe taking the lead this morning - bouncing partly on Brexit talks optimism and partly on last week's correction possibly being overdone (particularly for banks - HSBC up 10+%).

  • Asian stock markets closed higher, with Japan's NIKKEI up 307 pts or +1.32% at 23511.62 and the TOPIX up 27.7 pts or +1.7% at 1661.93. China's SHANGHAI closed down 1.883 pts or -0.06% at 3217.535 and the HANG SENG ended 240.63 pts higher or +1.04% at 23476.05.
  • European markets are much higher, with the German Dax up 276.26 pts or +2.22% at 12741.75, FTSE 100 up 76.21 pts or +1.3% at 5918.51, CAC 40 up 84.81 pts or +1.79% at 4813.93 and Euro Stoxx 50 up 52.25 pts or +1.67% at 3188.3.
  • U.S. futures are up, with the Dow Jones mini up 230 pts or +0.85% at 27265, S&P 500 mini up 27 pts or +0.82% at 3313, NASDAQ mini up 122.25 pts or +1.1% at 11254.5.
