BNB BELGIUM MAR BUSINESS CONFIDENCE -7.6; FEB -12.8
- Belgian business sentiment recorded a solid 5.2-point improvement to -7.6 in March- the strongest reading since August 2022.
- Service-sector confidence drove the increase, bolstered by a jump in demand forecasts and favourable employment outlooks. Robust employment outlooks alongside stronger orderbooks also saw manufacturing sentiment improve in March, albeit to a lesser extent. Belgian trade outlooks remained more pessimistic.
- This data alongside evidence of strong services PMI growth points to robust service spending boosting eurozone activity for the end of Q1.
