Some hawkish headlines from BoJ board member Tamura are crossing, which is aiding the yen. USD/JPY is back under 152.00, fresh multi month lows.

*TAMURA: RATE AT 0.75% WOULD STILL BE NEGATIVE IN REAL TERMS
*TAMURA: RATE AT 1% IN 2ND HALF OF FY 2025 SHOULD BE IN MIND"

Per RTRS "BOJ'S TAMURA: OUTPUT GAP MAY ALREADY EFFECTIVELY BE IN POSITIVE TERRITORY AS SUPPLY CONSTRAINTS PUTTING UPWARD PRESSURE ON PRICES - [RTRS]" 

Tamura was in favor of a hike back in Dec last year, but ultimately was voted down by the rest of the board. So the remarks are not a surprise, but still shifting sentiment.
