SOUTH KOREA: BoK governor Lee notes that monetary & fiscal policy are moving in
the same direction and that it is unlikely that the country will be subjected to
swift capital outflows.
- He also notes that the Bank will monitor external risks and data further, and
points to a degree of monetary policy space, although he concedes that the
effective lower bound is higher than that seen in developed nations.
- Lee also notes that it is hard to predict the degree of any further rate cuts.
