BP Sees Potential to Beats 2025 LNG Portfolio Target of 25m mtpa: Platts

BP’s CEO said Feb. 6 that he would be surprised if the company did not exceed its target of raising its LNG portfolio to 25m mtpa by 2025 having already reached 23m mtpa in 2023, according to Platts.

  • BP’s LNG portfolio rose by 25% on the year, driven by volumes from Coral LNG in Mozambique and from Freeport in the US.
  • On the outlook for gas, BP’s CEO Auchincloss said that the world remained volatile.
  • "Natural gas, we feel OK about right now but a cold snap in the winter in one of the years changes the position on natural gas as well," he said.
