Brazil Exports First Peregrino Crude Since 2020

Brazil exported heavy sour Peregrino crude oil for the first time since it was shut for repairs in April 2020, according to Bloomberg ship-tracking data.

  • The first vessel loaded at the FPSO Peregrino off the Brazilian coast on Aug 12 after oil production resumed July 16. The FPSO was shut in 2020 due to corrosion issues and restart was delayed by the pandemic
  • In 2019 Peregrino produced 61.1kbpd of heavy, sour Peregrino oil according to ANP data
