no comment on the current mon pol stance. Says crypto products don't 
pose fin stability risk given their 'relatively small footprint in the 
fin syst.' He added they are not deeply interconnected with mainstream 
fin syst. But technology changes may be rapid so contingency planning 
important. Keeping a close eye on risks associated with cryptoassets. 
BOC exploring potential use of DLT to streamline transactns settlement. 
Also exploring under what condtns BOC might recommend to gov that Canada 
issues its own digital currency. Unless risks cld be managed thru the
