CPI rose by 2.5% in July. Upward pressure came from transport and 
computer games prices, as well as fuel and utilities, enough to offset 
continued promotions in clothing and footwear. Transport fares added 
0.05pp to the 12-month change in CPI with games and toys -- and PC games 
in particular -- adding a further 0.11pp. Cumulatively, fuels and 
electricity and gas prices were responsible for 0.02pp of the y/y 
change. These were partially offset by clothing promotions, with its y/y 
inflation rate last lower in Oct 2016. Elsewhere, a marked rise in crude 
oil prices sent input PPI to their highest level since May 2017.
