Bunds & Gilts Look To U.S. For Latest Cues

BONDS

Bund futures tracked U.S. Tsy gyrations around the U.S. data, initially registering a fresh session high before fading, while Gilt futures got nowhere near testing best levels, before fading to fresh session lows, although bears failed to close the opening gap higher. Both contracts are off post-U.S. data lows, once again akin to U.S. Tsys, with Bunds +100 or so and Gilts +45 or so. The German cash curve sees 5-8bp of richening, with the wings still lagging, while cash Gilts still twist steepen, running 7.5bp richer to 3bp cheaper.
