EGB SUMMARY: Bunds have seen a sharp selloff - one of the top 5 days for rising
yields in the quarter as 10y yields rise 7.6bp on the day at the time of writing
in the last trading day of the year.
- Other EGBs have also sold off but to a lesser extent, with spreads generally
tightening a little on the day.
- USTs have found a little bit of a bid but Bunds have continued to move lower
and at 170.55 futures stand close to their lows of the day.
- Curves across all EGBs have bear steepened today.
- Bund futures are down -1.06 today at 170.55 with 10y Bund yields up 7.2bp at
-0.186% and Schatz yields up 2.5bp at -0.616%.
- BTP futures are down -0.41 today at 142.46 with 10y yields up 4.6bp at 1.415%
and 2y yields up 2.6bp at -0.53%.
- OAT futures are down -0.95 today at 162.87 with 10y yields up 7.0bp at 0.113%
and 2y yields up 2.5bp at -0.600%.
