CABLE: Cable last sits at $1.3082, virtually unchanged on the day after dropping
30 pips Friday, as UK Jan m'fing PMI missed expectations, while U.S. data
releases topped market forecasts.
- It is worth noting UK PM May wrote in the Telegraph that she is "determined"
to finalise UK's departure from the EU by the current March deadline, while
weekend press reports focused on the splits within the Tory party, and growing
rumours of an early general election, which was later played down by members of
the cabinet.
- Initial support noted at $1.3044, which limited losses Friday, followed by the
200-DMA at $1.3036. Meanwhile, bulls focus on Friday's high of $1.3115, ahead of
the Jan 31 high of $1.3160.
- The BoE's rate decision is due Thursday, alongside the Bank's inflation report
& meeting minutes. Elsewhere, UK construction PMI hits later today, while Brexit
matters will continue being closely watched.
