CAD Firms as BoC Notify Liquidity Programs Will Wind Down

USD/CAD is slipping in recent trade, opening a move toward the overnight lows as the Bank of Canada detail that their emergency liquidity programs will be wound down, adding that their QE program will be dialled back in a gradual and measured way.

  • BoC also add that scaling back of QE isn't linked to a particular policy rate decision, stopping short of saying when it will start scaling back any purchases.
