- Expected Orders Volume (Oct): 3%; Prev(Sep): -29% 
- Retail sales volume fell for the fifth consecutive month in Sep, which is the
weakest period since 2011 
- However, sales fell at a softer pace than markets expected (BBG Cons: -25%) 
- Retailers expect sales to decline again in Oct, although at a slower pace 
- Orders placed upon suppliers improved to -9 in Sep following Aug's slump to
-57, nonetheless orders fell for a fifth month straight 
- The report further notes that the level of stocks shifted back to the
long-term average after Aug's peak 
- All subsectors reported monthly declines in sales in Sep, with the clothing
and non-specialised sector driving this month's decline.
