  • The National Statistics Institute releases January unemployment, retail sales and production figures at the top of the hour:
    • Unemployment rate Jan; est. 7.2%, previous 7.2%
    • Industrial Production Jan; w/o est., previous 1.7%
    • Manufacturing production Jan.; est. 4%, previous 2.3%
    • Jan Retail Sales; est. 18.5% former 15.3%
  • New central bank president, Rosanna Costa said the Ukraine crisis is pushing up commodity prices and will keep Chilean inflation under pressure in the coming months adding that the crisis also threatens to slow global growth.
    • Speaking at the same press conference, Finance Minister Rodrigo Cerda said the government was planning to nominate a new central bank board member before the new administration takes office on March 11. The government is in talks with the incoming administration, Cerda said.
