China 2016-2020 Foreign Investments May Total USD690 Billion: Journal

China is forecast to have received as much as USD690 billion in investment from overseas during the 13th Five-Year Plan period (2016-2020), USD10 billion more than over the previous five years, the China Securities Journal reported on Friday citing data from the Ministry of Commerce. China remained the world's second-largest recipient of foreign investment for three years through to 2019, the Journal said. Foreign-owned businesses accounted for 41.7% of China's exports in 2016-2019 and 19.3% of the national tax revenue, the newspaper reported citing the Ministry.
