China Feb Oil Products Exports Plunge

Chinese oil products exports in February declined to 4.2mn tons, down from 4.62mn tons in January and 32.4% lower on the year, official customs data showed.

  • Gasoline exports declined to 730,000 tons last month, down from 840,000 tons in January and down by 28.8% on the year.
  • In contrast, diesel exports rose to 630,000 tons, up from 590,000 tons in January but still down 70.8% on the year.
  • Kerosene exports last month rose to 1.52mn tons, up from 1.31mn tons the month prior and 15.6% higher on the year.
  • Oil products imports in February stood 10.4% higher year on year at 3.5mn tons, but remained below January levels of 4.08mn tons.
