EGBS: /CHINA: Fitch analysts also noted a money market fund "transition risk in
European funds" as "the main risk European money fund reforms pose to ratings is
from unexpected disruption during the transition process. However, we expect
fund managers to take steps to mitigate risks, including strengthening liquidity
during the transition. The new rules will not change our approach to rating
money funds and therefore should not directly affect ratings unless funds'
underlying credit, market or liquidity risks increase."
- CHINA: Fitch said "China reforms" were "positive" as "October 2017 MMF reforms
in China will temper growth and reduce the degree of systemic risk posed by
MMFs, albeit without achieving complete convergence with regulatory standards in
fully developed markets. The impact on Fitch-rated MMFs is expected to be
limited."
