China Gasoline Exports Unchanged In Dec: OilChem

Gasoline exports from China in December are expected to remain unchanged from last month at approximately 2m tons according to OilChem.

  • Net gasoline exports in December to March are estimated at 4.19m tons.
  • Local gasoline inventories are expected to increase by +300k tons by the end of March to 19.47m tons amid weak demand.
  • China’s domestic gasoline consumption is forecast at 49.8m tons from Dec-Mar. Daily gasoline use to expected to decline year on year in Dec and Jan before increasing in March. The estimates assume that covid outbreaks will ease, prompting a recovery in demand.
