CHINA: China had a surplus of CNY51.9 billion in its international balance of
payments in September, with revenues of CNY1.3876 trillion and expenditures of
CNY1.3357 trillion, the State Administration of Foreign Exchange said Tuesday.
SAFE reported a goods trade surplus of CNY197.9 billion, with revenues totaling
CNY1.2676 trillion and expenditures at CNY1.0696 trillion. The deficit in the
services trade was CNY146 billion, resulting from a gap between revenues of
CNY120.1 billion and expenditures of CNY266.1 billion. In U.S. dollar terms, the
international balance of payments surplus was $7.9 billion, with revenues of
$211.4 billion and expenditures of $203.5 billion. The goods trade surplus was
$30.2 billion, with revenues of $193.1 billion and expenditures of $163 billion,
while the services trade deficit was $22.2 billion, with revenues of $18.3
billion and expenditures of $40.5 billion.
