CHINA PRESS: China has activated more than 200,000 5G stations, Chen Zhaoxiong,
a Vice Minister of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) said on Sunday.
The Beijing Youth Daily reported that the two largest state-owned carriers -
China Mobile and China Unicom - aim to build 550,000 5G stations in 2020. The
MIIT will encourage carriers to provide more subsidies with the aim of
attracting customers to upgrade and purchase new 5G mobile phones, the newspaper
said.
